Making a sticker from a photo takes two parts: a clean cutout and a border. Remove background gives you the cutout for free. Then open Cutout Studio and choose Sticker under Looks: it sets a transparent background, trims the canvas to the subject and adds a white outline with a soft drop shadow. Every setting can be changed afterwards in the Design column.
Under Effects, the Outline sits Outside, Centre or Inside the edge, with a Width slider and white, black, orange, blue or a custom colour. For a die cut sticker keep it Outside and wide enough to give a cutting machine a margin to follow; a hairline border looks crisp on screen but is easy to lose when it is cut. Padding in the Size card adds room around the outline so nothing touches the edge of the file.
Shadow can be Drop, which follows the outline, or Ground, a soft shadow under the object, with Strength, Softness, Distance and Spread. Glow adds a soft or precise halo in any colour, useful for stickers shown on dark chat backgrounds.
Pet stickers are the most common request, and fur is where edges matter. Check the cutout at 100% before styling it: paint with the Brush or Eraser to fix stray bits, and use Refine edges to soften the boundary. Hair & fur refinement, for the finest strands, is a Pro feature.
The result saves as a transparent PNG sticker, or as WebP. WhatsApp and Telegram set their own sticker sizes and file rules, so check them before uploading; the Size card offers Original, Trimmed and Square, and Copy puts the image on your clipboard to paste into another app.
